God promised the people that he would send them a messiah. In the new testament, God kept his promise He sent his only begotten son to be the perfect sacrifice for mankind so we can be redeemed back to God. Jesus said I will pray for the father and he shall give you another comforter that he may abide with you forever. This is our connection through the Holy Spirit to the Father and the Son. This is our connection to the Holy Trinity.
